Los Angeles — MNS Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Richard Mocke as its new Principal Construction Manager for the Southern California region. Mr. Mocke will be based out of the Los Angeles office, working as a member of the construction management department.
Richard brings over 24 years of engineering experience in the transportation infrastructure, water resources, coastal and maritime markets. His experience spans across five continents, including Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, and most recently, Australia. Past projects have ranged from ports; to reef and coastal protection; to treatment plants; to railways, bridges, and roadways.

Richard’s design-bid-build project management approach will be of great value to MNS’s clients as we see more owners choosing the design-build delivery method on many water projects throughout California. Mocke will continue to add to our strong design-build team experience and industry thoght leadership,” said Peter Brennan, Principal Construction Manager and Water Resources Market Leader.
Mr. Mocke has a proven track record in successfully planning, managing, and delivering a wide range of projects, from minor facilities and studies, to major multimillion dollar and multidisciplinary development projects. He has a strong technical, financial, and overall project management background and has worked as a principal engineer, senior maritime engineer, project manager, construction manager, and design engineer, gaining experience in all phases of the project life cycle.

As Principal Construction Manager, Richard will provide project team leadership, ensuring successful project delivery and client management for the Southern California region. Mr. Mocke has been a past director and senior partner of a successful civil engineering firm. He has also authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications, which have been presented both nationally and internationally.
Mr. Mocke holds a BS in Civil Engineering from University of Natal in South Africa, an MS in Water Resources Management from Imperial College in London, an MS in Environmental Coastal Engineering from the University of Southampton, and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business in Adelaide, Australia. Recently, he completed the International Ports Course at the UNESCO-IHE in the Netherlands.
