Roundabout Design Aims to Reduce Newhall Traffic

June 22, 2009

A team of MNS engineers and surveyors are serving the City of Santa Clarita to design a traffic calming roundabout at the intersection of Main Street (aka San Fernando Road), Newhall Avenue, and Fifth Street. One of the main gateways to the Newhall commercial district, the design will be aesthetically welcoming, while providing a safe route for pedestrians and vehicles alike. To achieve these goals, MNS is using Torus, state-of-the-art software to design multiple concept plans. Utility relocations, privately owned land encroachment, and minimizing impact on large trees at nearby Hart Park are all priorities MNS will observe in the design.
